Emili Armengol i Abril (Barcelona 1943) is a Catalan sculptor. He is the son of the jeweler and painter Emili Armengol i Gall. He held his first exhibition as a sculptor in 1968, with medium-sized works. He is one of the Catalan sculptors of Modernity and belongs to the third generation of the post-war period. He has received the decoration of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters from the Ministry of <p>Culture of France and the Creu de Sant Jordi (2016) from the Generalitat de Catalunya, which highlighted him as one of the Catalan sculptors with the greatest mastery of expressive means and creative force.
