A Niamh Barry Drawing. Niamh is well known for works in bronze especially her illuminated sculptural work. However unbeknownst to most people Niamh can turn her hand or eye to anything. This specific large piece on paper was produced to be shown at the National Museum of Ireland solo exhibition that ran from 2018 to 2020. While its a standalone artwork it is also an insight into Niamhs creative process and reflect elements and shapes seen in Niamhs bronze work.
The piece has been museum framed and was executed using a mix of ink, charcoal and paint on high quality fabriano art paper. The piece is a large scale work and on a personal level I am a sucker for large scale artworks and especially ones you can lose yourself in like this one. The piece is signed and comes to us direct from Niamh herself.
